Visual SafeMove - Improved configuration browser layout

Icons for zone visibility and lock are now right aligned and only visible when enabled or hovering over the object.

Visual SafeMove - Improved Safety Report workflow

The workflow for the creating and saveing Safety Configuration Reports in has been improved and clarified.
  • The report can be viewed and saved in PDF format.
  • The windows for "Write to controller" and "Show Report" have different controls to clarify the difference.
  • The PDF report is saved to the HOME directory on the controller when the safety configuration is written.
  • "Show Report" can show either the current configuration in the controller, or the configuration being edited in Visual SafeMove.

Visual SafeMove - Lock zones from edit in 3D view

Added the ability to lock graphical elements from being accidentally edited in the 3D view.
When the lock is activated, no handles for modifying the geometry are displayed in the graphics.

Corrections

PDD
12129Problem with smart component RapidVariable if type orient

Fixed an issue which caused the 'RapidVariable' Smart Component to fail getting the value of an 'orient' RAPID variable.
12179IRBT 7004 pedestal

Removed the possibility to model an IRBT 7004 with a 500 mm pedestal as it is not supported by the real track.
12194Workobject attached to track carriage - Discordance between station and Virtual Controller

Added option for 180 degrees rotation.

12245Duplicate Target Changed events in Signal Analyzer

Fixed an issue which caused Signal Analyzer to show duplicate Target Changed events for RobotWare 5.15 and lower.
12286IRB 5500 Type A(Right) on Elevated Type B(Left) and IRB 5500 Type B(Left) on Elevated Type A(Right) can't be modeled

Added mounting options for a left-side IRB 5500 robot model on a right-side elevated rail model and vice versa.
Fixed a problem in System From Layout which would fail when trying to create a virtual controller for such a combination.
12398Collision Avoidance Problem

See PDD12618.

12416Visual SafeMove - Maximum number of global supervisions

The application manual Functional safety and SafeMove2 has been updated to state that the total number of global supervisions is maximum 8 for both SafeMove Basic and Pro.
12473Robot Control Mate misleading information

Some ABB content in the RobotApps gallery was missing the "ABB" tag, this has been fixed.
12546IRB120 CAD model incorrect, collision of axis 5 with wrist frame at +120°

Corrected a difference between the IRB120 model and the real robot.
12547Wrong orientation in Online monitor for IRB5500 on rail

Before: Online monitor partly used the gravity parameters to orient robot and track.
Unfortunately for IRB5500 and rail defines gravity parameters differently than other manipulators. That resulted in misplacement of the robot and track in online monitor, which also affects the online monitor in Visual SafeMove.
Now: The orientation of the baseframe is used to orient the robot and track, as a consequence, robots with altered gravity parameters but untouched base frame orientation will not be re-oriented in Online Monitor.
12581RobotWare 7.x license agreement while installing a RobotWare 6.x release

Removed version number from RobotWare license agreement text.

12599Configuring Stand Still Supervision can lead to a corrupt safety configuration

An error is now shown if Stand Still Supervision has incorrect settings. It is now impossible to write such safety configuration to the controller.
12618Not possible to configure collision avoidance on a real robot

When configuring Collision Avoidance for a robot, it was not possible to attach an object to a mechanical unit. This has been fixed.

12692Visual SafeMove - Invalid translated supervision default name

The default names for supervisions was translated which caused the name to be invalid, for example "Übergeordnet_SST" in German. The default names are now in English, independent of the current language of RobotStudio.
12728Closing Visual SafeMove did not remove SafeMove geometries.

When closing the Visual SafeMove Add-In the Visual SafeMove geometries are now removed from the 3D view.
12746Child components not displayed in Station Logic

A Smart Component with a corrupt icon asset could cause errors in the Edit Smart Component or Station Logic user interface. This has been fixed.
12764Visual SafeMove - Possible to select

Fixed an issue where it was possible to select NoStop and NoSignal as Validation for PermanentlyActive supervision. This is not an allowed combination and such configuration file can't be loaded in the Safety Controller.
12784Strange work envelope for IRB 910INV

Fixed incorrect display of work envelope for IRB 910INV.
12813Visual SafeMove - Elbow indicator does not follow the robot

Fixed an issue with 4 axis robots that made the elbow indicator not follow the robot movements.
SmartComponent - Allow cyclic property missing in export

When exporting a Smart Component or Station Logic to .rsxml, the "allow cyclic" property of Connections and Bindings was not included. This has been added.
Reminder to activate RobotStudio displayed when there are several months to expiration

The reminder is now displayed when there is 30 days or less left to expiration.
Visual SafeMove - Safety report does not contain Allow In Manual Mode

Fixed an error in the Safety report where information about Allow in Manual Mode yes/no was omitted.
Visual SafeMove:Unhandled exception when launching Safe IO Configurator

Fixed an issue where certain safe zones and ranges generated from a recorded simulation were causing exceptions when launching the Safe IO configurator. Recordings, where the robot is standing still will now also be discarded.
Visual Safemove: "Length cannot be less than zero" exception when opening a safety configuration

Certain safety configuration files made for older RobotWare versions will no longer cause .NET exception: Length cannot be less than zero
Restore backup from a network location throws exception

Fixed an issue with restoring a backup on a UNC network path to a Virtual Controller.

Physics collision doesn't work

Fixed an issue with the internal transforms of physics collision geometries, which could cause physics simulation to behave incorrectly.
Also the commands for "Use original geometry" and "Recreate collision geometry" have been disabled for objects that consist of a known geometric primitive such as a sphere or a cuboid. Such objects always use an optimal collision geometry.
Exception when comparing two files in the RAPID tab

An Exception was displayed in the Output window when comparing two files in the RAPID tab, the second time a file was selected on the right side.
Exception when importing geometry in Collision Avoidance

Fixed an error that occurred when importing certain CAD files into the Collision Avoidance configurator.
Visual SafeMove - Track included when opening a configuration with excluded track

Fixed a bug which caused a track to be included when opening a safety configuration where the track was excluded.
Visual SafeMove: Information message that I/O Configurator can resolve certain errors in safety configuration when upgrading from older RobotWare

When upgrading from older RobotWare versions errors may occur which are caused by following:
  • In earlier RobotWare version safe signals are assigned to the internal device. On newer RobotWare, the internal device has modules where the signals are assigned to. When upgrading to a newer RobotWare the signal locations must be moved from the modules to the device in EIO.cfg.
  • Change in naming convention of safe modules.
By having the I/O Configurator open at the time of opening the older safety configuration file it can automatically update it to fit with the signal conventions used in the newer RobotWare.
If  I/O Configurator is not open and writing to the controllers fails, the following advice is displayed in the output window:
"Failed writing the safety configuration. Open I/O Engineering Tool and then try to write the configuration again."
Improved validation for UAS role description.

The allowed characters are displayed if entering an invalid character.
RobotApps: Wrong tag on Add-in distribution packages from ABB CDN

Some content in RobotApps was tagged with "RobotWare-Addin" instead of the correct "RobotStudio-Addin". This has been fixed.
